Y SU PRIMERA ESCUELA SE CREÓ EL 21 DE MARZO DEL 2005 EN EL ASENTAMIENTO HUMANO RAMÓN CASTILLA (HUANCHACO-PERÚ).HEMOS VIVIDO DESDE EL 2005 UNA EXPERIENCIA DE AMOR Y DE GESTIÓN SOLIDARIA MARAVILLOSAS. TRES AÑOS EN LOS QUE HEMOS BRINDADO A LOS NIÑOS EDUCACIÓN GRATUITA JUNTO CON SU ALIMENTACIÓN, ATENCIÓN MÉDICA Y PSICOLÓGICA, INCLUSO LES HEMOS DADO LOS ÚTILES ESCOLARES.EN EL 2005 Y 2006 FUNCIONÓ EN LOCALES PRESTADOS, Y DESDE EL 2007 LABORA EN SU PROPIO LOCAL QUE SE CONSTRUYE EN EL TERRENO QUE LE DONÓ LA POBLACIÓN. ESTE CUARTO AÑO 2008 TENEMOS 240 ALUMNOS (EN TRES AULAS DE INICIAL Y CINCO DE PRIMARIA), Y DEBEMOS CONSTRUIR MÁS AULAS PUES LOS NIÑOS VAN AVANZANDO Y ABRIENDO NUEVOS GRADOS. TAMBIÉN URGE LA EDIFICACIÓN DEL ALBERGUE, LA COCINA Y LOS BAÑOS DE PRIMARIA. 2. Translation of Slide1 The non-profit Association “Corporation for Popular Education was founded on October 29, 2002 with the objective to give free education to those children from the marginal zones, from the first grade up to university level. The school’s first class started on March 21, 2005 in the Ramon Castilla Development located in Huanchaco, a suburb of Trujillo, Peru. Since 2005, it has been an experience of love and marvelously solid support. For three years now, we have offered free education to the children plus provided food, and medical and psychological services. We also have provided the children with school supplies. During this fourth year, we have 240 students in three classes of beginning and five classes of primary. We must construct more classrooms because the children keep advancing in grades and thus opening new classes. In addition, we urgently need to build a dining room, a kitchen and additional bathrooms. In two years, some students will begin the secondary level of education and in six years students will begin upper level studies with the Technical Business University, thus giving the students a professional career and also, at the same time, offer secure job opportunities to our graduates. We appreciate very much all the parents and friends who have helped us. (many names mentioned) and many more that have joined us along the way. (several local organizations are mentioned) This help allows the school to provide an alternative educational solution for the less fortunate people, especially when we are confronted with a deficient State run educational system and private, for profit, schools. The job has been difficult, but it has given us great spiritual satisfaction and because of this, we continue with this labor of love.

The last four lines say All are volunteers. The job of the Director, by personal decision, will never be compensated. However, the teachers who work exclusively for the school should receive some minimum compensation. Therefore, we hope we will be able to receive additional financial support so that we may pay them a fair and just salary in recognition of their efforts and dedication.
