3. At about the same time, the nine planets that now travel around the sun were born too. The sund and the planets are called the solar system. The sun is at the center of the solar system. The sun is the largest object in our solar system.
4. If there were no sunlight, all planets would die. Then there would be no carrots, apples, no corn, and no beans. Animals that eat grass would die. And the animals that eat the planet-eating animals would die too. So would people! We would have nothing left to eat. Without the sun, the Earth would be so cold that no plants, animals, or people could survive.
