1. Office 1 Summary Report PortoBeach March 2010 Members: Alex Ackrill,
2. Office 1 Aims of Investigation To collaborate together on a daily basis in order to discuss and complete the Muster Reports which were given to the team on a weekly basis.
3. Week One in Office 1 The PD issued the team with muster report one which instructed us to provide a case study upon a murder which has happened in our own locality. With members of the team being from Florida, Glasgow and Manchester the case studies which were uploaded by the team produced a variety of homicides ranging from the Rhys Jones murder in Liverpool, to the appearance of a 50 year old skeleton Manchester. We were able in our case studies to provide a skill in analysing the evidence which we found and presenting it to group.
4. Key Skills Analyisation of the evidence found in the references used for case studies Initiative in finding our own case studies and the ability to collaborate together in the team to produce our studies on the online forum
5. Murder Victims From Case Studies Largely Male victims, with 3 being females 3 out of the 4 shootings which were used as case studies were teenage victims
6. Alexandra Ackrill In Week One I provided information for my case study on two murders; firstly a murder which had only recently occurred on the death of little girl from neglect and secondly a murder which was vicious and happened only around the corner from where I live. I provided three organisations from Manchester which all were used in the muster report finalisation to help in the teams aim in finding the suspect in our investigation. I also commented my thoughts and suggestions on each muster report and suggested how we should initially tackle this powerpoint The Team I feel has worked really well together in being prompt and tackling each obstacle as it came
7. Alexandra Ackrill 2 The biggest challenge I think I faced was figuring out how to get around the actual website as in week one I accidently uploaded my case study the wrong way. The skills I have acquired during this experience has been an increase in communication amongst strangers, researching for specifics in relation to statistics which will help in further studying modules in the future.
