Cri Du Chat syndrome is caused by a deletion on chromosome 5, resulting in rare genetic abnormalities. Symptoms include a distinctive cry, small head size, high palate, wide eyes and low set ears. Treatment focuses on physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and behavior management to help patients develop skills, while sign language may also be necessary for some.
