The Devils Arithmetic is a novel by Jane Yolen that tells a story about a young girl who is transported back in time to experience life in Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust. She learns about the horrors Jews faced under Nazi rule and the atrocities they endured in the camps. By the end, she gains a new understanding and appreciation for her own life and Jewish heritage after witnessing firsthand the suffering and genocide of Jews during World War II.
