3. • PROJECT SAKSHAM will provide ENABLING IT INFRASTRUCTURE FOR:
• Integration with GSTN (Goods and Services tax Network) for processing of registration, payment and returns
data and provide front-end for other modules like refunds, audit, appeal, investigation, etc.
• Continuation of CBEC’s e-services in Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax
• Implementation of tax payer services such as scanned document upload facility
• Extension of Indian Customs Single Window (SWIFT) initiative.
• Enabling integration with Government Initiatives like e-Nivesh, e-Sign, e-Taal etc
• Enabling better service delivery to the Tax Payers through Mobile Based Applications, SMS Gateway etc.
• Ensuring IT Service Availability through high speed networks and resilient IT Infrastructure
• Improving operational efficiency through optimal utilisation of IT Infrastructure
• Ensuring Availability of Critical Services even in contingencies through improved disaster recovery
capabilities
