I cannot hide this even though I try
These lyrics are referring to a mans last memory of
his girl friend in the hospital before she passed
away. Once she was pronounced dead, they
shut the lights off and closed the door. Once the
man realized his girlfriends was dead, all he
wanted was to be with her, to lay with her one
last time and just feel her love. He was
devastated by her death and even though he
wanted to hide how hurt he was, it was more than
obvious.

Time escapes me
Trembling hands touch skin
It makes this harder
And the tears stream down my face
These lyrics describe the feelings he had seeing his
girl friends body for the first time after she passed
away. His heart begins racing and he quickly gets
caught up in the moment, loosing track of time and
everything else around him. He’s scarred and
shaking as he allows his hands to graze her skin.
Seeing her only made it harder on him, and he soon
begins to let the tears stream down his face.

These lyrics are to show you his inner most
thoughts. He’s questioning life, thinking
that we could die at any moment. It
shows that he’s in a really bad place
after loosing his girl friend and all he can
think about is wanting to turn back time,
just to be able spend more time with the
person her loved.

These lyrics show the love that was
present in the relationship between
these two kids. They loved each
other enough to be one another's
anything and everything. Now that
she’s gone he’s lost.

There lyrics are representing his feelings.
Its showing his anticipation, for a single
moment in time. He’s trying to prepare
something to say, the right words that will
make this moment what its supposed to
be. Before he leaves forever and doesn’t
get to say what he needs to.

My judgment's clouded
Like tonight's sky
The first line shows him locking himself in his
room. Then it goes on to explain how he
doesn’t want to be reminded about what has
happened in his life. Nor does he want to be
seen by anyone because he’s ashamed. He’s
come to the conclusion that he can no longer
live with out his girlfriend in his life. He’s
contemplating everything but knows that his
judgment is clouded.

But it makes this harder
And the tears stream down my face
This is his final breaking point. He’s numb, and
quiet. He wants to scream, to be heard... But he
knows that won’t change anything. It will only
make things harder. As he comes to realization
of what he’s about to do, about to take his own
life to be with her, he lets the tears stream down
his face.

Going back to the time
Playing games in the street
Kicking balls with my feet
These lyrics just show everything running
through his mind as he’s preparing to
make this final decision. He’s recalling
found memories he had with his girl
friend before she passed away.
Explaining that she’s still in is mind,
flashes of her and their past tormenting
him.

11. There's a numb in my toes
Standing close to the edge
There's a pile of my clothes
At the end of your bed
As I feel myself fall
Make a joke of it all
The first two lines represent him standing
on the edge, ready to jump. He’s
hesitant though, feeling the numb in his
toes. He thinks of his clothes at the end
of her bed as a reminder of him leaving
a part of himself in her life. Then he
falls, off the edge. Making a joke of
everything so he can come to terms
with taking his own life in grief.
