Commencement Exercises Script
June 29, 2022
Prelude: (Soft spoken voice, video the school, what it has been doing so far during the pandemic time,
feature teachers, students, stakeholders.. and the script below is the voice over)
Learningis never a place. Many things have drasticallychangedthe way we live, work
and learn-teachers,learners andparents alike. For many months as well, each day has
been veiledwith a sense of uncertainty, fear andisolation. Greaterefforts were needed
to address students’ academic and socio-emotional needs, all the while- making up
for learning loss and leaning more on distance learning outcomes. On some levels,
the pandemic is our equity check, reminding us of who we could become amid
volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous realities.
More than ever, how fastwe have recoveredandpositivelyadaptedto this new normal
of our life – the essence of resilience – is criticallyimportant. We need to support our
learners in developing capacities for them to emerge stronger and better after this
crisis. Hence, with our learningcontinuityplan-we have surmounted all odds and we
have opened the doors for learning in the expanded face to face classes. We acted
well to keep students connected to learning and focus on equipping them with the
right skills to navigate today’s world and the recovery of tomorrows.
You, our graduates, navigated through more than two years of uncertainty in the
wake of the pandemic, but you have finished strong and tough. You are now
almost at the finish line - pursue beautiful dreams, fly high and follow your heart!

Principal’s Address----Mrs. Florence B. Legaspina, Principal III
Let me begin by saying that I cannot imagine beginning my remarks to you in any other way than by
acknowledging the extraordinary context, really the historical context, in which you have been students at
Commissioner Luis R, Asis NHS and in which you have arrived at this remarkable milestone in your lives.
Satisfying the requirements for Senior High School in this new normal is never easy; the demands are as
rigorous as face-to-face modality. So, you should, indeed, be very proud. We, certainly, are of you. But, as
much as we, your teachers, admire you and are proud of what you have achieved, nothing can compare to
the pride of your family and friends who have supported you all along the way. Please take this opportunity
to thank them.
Under ordinary conditions, we justifiably celebrate the sheer skills and talents that have brought you to this
point. But your academic journey has been nothing like any I have ever witnessed. I can barely begin to touch
the surface of the times: A once-in-a-century pandemic; the just concluded general elections, the turn-over
of power to the new set of leaders, the start of the expanded face-to-face classes. As I recite these multiple
and intersecting events of our time, I know each one of us is privately taking stock of how these events—
singly or altogether—have affected our own lives and the lives of those close to us. Collectively, we can be
certain that many among us have suffered deeply; and not one of us has been untouched. On this day, we
celebrate you, all that you have accomplished, and the institution that nurtures us, especially in this new
historical era we have entered. You are our concrete proof that the K to 12 Graduates have Pursued Dreams
and Fostered Resilience in the Face of Adversity.
To all of you, therefore, in recognition of the many challenges you have had to endure and overcome, we say
with more conviction and more respect than ever before, Congratulations to you, Class of 2022.

3. (Ms. Denaga’s voice over)
Perfection is a road, not a destination.
Every time you live, you get an education
Be bold, be resilient, be your best!
Sweet blooms in golden hour's wake,
As a diploma is given without a handshake.
To blue-gold skies over glassy make,
Scarlet redbird, the clouds overtake!
This is your moment! Throw off the lines
Leave behind the safe harbor signs
Pursue your dream and sail into your beautiful goal
For the tassel is worth the Hassle!
