As the world of business has changed and evolved, the need for effective
leaders has skyrocketed. For businesses to become truly empowering
and innovative enterprises, they must develop leaders throughout the
organisation. In fact, the organisation of the future is an organisation where
everyone is a leader. It is only when people are able to lead themselves that
they are actually empowered to be creative and innovative, and become
engaged in their role.
A host of data shows that levels of Employee Engagement worldwide are
low. On average, 13% of workers are engaged at the workplace. Gallup, in
a substantive world-wide 2013 study determined that the number for South
African businesses is between 10% and 20% (depending on jobs).
What is special about having Engaged Employees? Well, they work,
hard, they do more than they are supposed to, and they apply their
minds to improve the business they work in. In short, they are us,
the business owners, if we worked in the business.
Most concerning is the fact that 45% of South African workers are ‘Actively
Disengaged’.It’s not just that they are unhappy at work; they’re busy acting out
their unhappiness. Every day, these workers undermine what their engaged
co-workers accomplish. The remaining 35% are described as Disengaged
Employees, who are essentially “checked out.” They’re sleepwalking through
their workday, putting time — but not energy or passion — into their work.

We know that simple training never works to
achieve sustainable results. Sustainable results
are achieved by helping participants shift
their paradigm. Rather than following a usual
approach of “How to, What to, When to”, we
implement desired behaviour changes into
participant’s daily habits and activities through
a strategic coaching intervention. Using the
concept of ‘Spaced Repetition’ and weekly
coaching sessions, these behaviour changes
become conditioning that will improve actions
and results, ultimately paving the way to success.

Why is engagement important? Research shows the following improvements
in firms with high levels of engagement:
Employee Engagement is not about sensitivity and feelings, it’s about
performance.
We focus on three key areas identified in research to improve employee
