- 4. Select the relevant data and add your company name, DONOT write “ CONFIDENTIAL ” as this helps you to project your Professional Image in the market!
- 5. Click “Skip this step>>” now, first let’s complete your profile and then add friends / ex-colleagues / colleagues so that they can easily recognize you and accept your invite.
- 6. You have 2 options, either click “Confirm my Google account” or “Send a confirmation email instead>>” to confirm your identity!
- 7. After confirming your email address, again click “Skip this step>>” to proceed further.
- 8. Based on your interest, you may choose your account plan, let’s try “BASIC” plan.
- 11. Browse all the fields one by one and add relevant information to update your profile!
- 13. Try to find your company in the drop down menu which automatically picks the address and URL link!
- 14. For example, if you company is not listed: enter the name followed by the URL link and Industry if belongs to add value to your profile.
- 15. Completing your company information, please add your details in the “Description” box to project what you have done while working in that company.
- 18. You can see the added position, repeat the same for other positions you would like to add.
- 19. Add your education like Schooling, Degree, Master’s, Diploma, etc.., by choosing names from the drop down menu. Be specific with the year studied and the field of study!!!
- 25. Type your name and check the availability (green button) and click “Set Custom URL”
- 26. You have secured a personal Linkedin link to share with your friends, in your resume, your blog or other websites in the Social Media!
- 30. Scroll down to bottom of the page and update Personal Information! Try not to skip Phone and Contact Settings!
- 33. Try to add your Professional Photo to complete your Profile page!
- 42. Join those groups of your interest, technical skills, job search, companies, etc.., You can join max of 50 groups on Linkedin, this doesn’t include the groups created by you!
- 44. You can follow all those companies you have worked for, companies of your interests to update yourself with their latest market information!
- 45. You can browse “Add Sections” & “Add an application” and choose and update based on your interests!
