Goa Tourism was chosen as the destination partner for the movie 'Finding Fanny' since it portrayed the contrasts of Goa. Goa offers many contrasting experiences in a small area like kenna romance, kenna adventure. Goa Tourism launched a Facebook contest on contrasts in Goa through the word 'kenna' for the movie. It also organized FAM trips for travel agents from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Ukraine to promote Goa as a tourist destination, especially during the monsoon season.

Finding Fanny associates with Goa Tourism
as 'destination partner’
Goa Tourism was roped in as the
destination partner for the English -
Hindi satirical bollywood movie
'Finding Fanny', a joint production of
Maddock Films and Fox Star studios
which was released on 12th September
2014. With the movie plot surrounded
by 5 dysfunctional and contrasting
characters set in a village of Goa, the
State's tourism body was chosen to be
the perfect destination partner keeping
in mind Goa is the world's only tourist
destination that has the maximum
contrasts in the smallest geographical
space.
Goa being just 3702 sq.km in size,
offers many contrasting experiences in
the space of an hour which no other
destination in the world can offer in such
a small space. Goa was looking for a
perfect partner to launch this new brand
positioning and it was found in the
movie Finding Fanny where there are
five contrasting characters looking for
Fanny in the land of contrasts!”

'Finding Fanny' was extensively shot in
v a r i o u s u n e x p l o r e d
locations in Goa. It did
represent the correct brand
fit and also portrayed the
fun loving character of
Goans. The film also
managed to showcase a
completely new side of
Goa which made it an
exciting proposition for
Goa Tourism to associate with the
concept of the movie.
Goa Tourism has a new brand line which
is the world's first dynamic tourism
brand line – kenna which means
sometimes in the local language
Konkani. The word 'kenna' makes it the
first 'Kin-glish' line brand Goa has ever
had, setting it apart from all the other
brands. It can be used to bring contrasts
such as kenna romance, kenna
adventure kenna rough, kenna smooth;
kenna slow, kenna fast; kenna calm,
kenna clamour; kenna party, kenna
safari; kenna classic, kenna modern,
etc.
Goa Tourism had launched a facebook
contest on 'Finding Fanny' where
people could participate by giving their
thoughts on what they thought of Goa's
contrasts through the word 'kenna'.
The winners were awarded free stay in
Goa, free movie tickets and an
opportunity to meet with the lead actors
of the film.
