The verbs in our sentences change when we talk
about what has already happened


Affirmative Sentences
watch + ed = watched


I walk to school   - I walked to school

You play in the park    -You played in the park

I jump on my bed        – I jumped on my bed

She likes to sleep on the sofa - She liked to sleep on
                                 the sofa.
Negative Sentences
Use didn’t
             - I didn’t walk to school

             - You didn’t play in the park

             - I didn’t jump on my bed

             - She didn’t like to sleep on
               the sofa
