Our history
Northgate grew as a result of
the influx of German
immigrants to local Baptist
churches in Edmonton.
Starting as a Sunday School
outreach, the church grew
to become a vibrant
congregation of all ages.
Biblical Truth
God’s Word focuses
outreach as demonstrations
of His love to people in need.
They are the lost (Lk. 19:10),
the hungry, thirsty, stranger,
naked, sick and imprisoned
(Mt. 25:35-36). They are the
poor, the blind and the
oppressed (Lk. 4:18-20).
North Edmonton Context
God placed our church in an
area where many
newcomers start their new
lives in Canada. 34,051
people on the Northside are
not citizens of Canada.
Our Present Congregation
We have families from
Western Europe, First Nations,
the Middle East, South Africa,
East Africa, Southeast Asia,
Latin America, China, India,
Nigeria and more
worshipping at Northgate on
any given Sunday or
attending ESL classes on
Saturdays. Over 30 nations
are now represented here.
