• You can experience moments of wonder when you solve a problem for the
first time or suddenly see a hidden connection.
• Maths is critical for many professions – doctor, lawyer, accountant, builder,
plumber, engineer, farmer …..
• Improving your maths increases your self confidence and your earning
power.

right, but from not fearing to be wrong.

14. Maths Assessments
•Students are set by ability.
•Regular feedback is given in exercise books and verbally
•They are assessed formally every half term.
•Students can be moved to a Higher or Lower set, for
their benefit, if needed.
