2. What is SWU?
• The SWU Music & Arts Festival is a music and
Sustainability festival in São Paulo. The event
is designed by advertising Eduardo Fischer.
• The event brings artists of different kinds and
styles in 3 days of great music and
consciousness.
3. Story
• Since June 2009, there were speculations about a possible
edition of Woodstock in New York, commemorating 40
years of the original festival, the co-founder Michael Lang.
However in August the same year the idea was
abandoned and the festival canceled.
• But, in early 2010, rumors began to be carried out a
'Woodstock Brazil, with speculation of what would be the
bands and the place . After many rumors in July of that
year the festival has been confirmed, but with no
connection to Woodstock, with the name of SWU Festival.
4. Objective
• Has intention to mobilize the largest possible
number of people around the cause, showing
that through small actions, with simple
individual attitudes of their day to day, you
can help build a better world to live.
• The 2011 edition was a novelty: A sample of
short films and animations outdoors, sponsored
by EcoVision, an Italian institution that
promotes a film festival on sustainability.
