2. In our opening title
sequence we want to use a
filing cabinet and fake files
as one set of our props. We
feel that this gives the
character of the detective a
more professional look, but
it also enhance the
psychological sub-genre of
our thriller as it portrays
important and secretive
actions. We’ve printed off a
‘confidential’ in a stamp type
front and stuck it to the
front of the file, this creates
mystery and again to try and
make It look as professional
as we could. We feel that by
making our props detailed it
give us good material for
close up shots.
Props
Another prop that we are
going to use is keys. This is
to signify opening the
doors e.g ‘releasing the
patient.’ We feel that using
keys will give us a good
opportunity to add in
sound effects ( of keys ) to
our opening title
sequence. We feel that it
fits our genre of thriller
because it adds in mystery
as its leads to the audience
questioning, what the keys
open?
3. Props and costumes
Another prop we are
planning on using is
police badges, we are
going to print off this
imagine, and attach it
to the tops of the two
detectives. We feel
that this gives a more
professional look which
makes the audience
feel more scared, as it
suggests its more real.
For our male detective we want him to wear
black trousers and shirt and tie, like the
detectives in seven. We feel that this is basic
clothing that works with our genre to create a
realistic character.
For our female detective, we want her to
wear black trousers and a while shirt/blouse
to give the same impression.
4. We don’t plan on focusing on costumes
or using many props for our opening title
sequence because we are mainly filming
around Brighton, using establishing shot
and point of view shots of people
walking past.
