Recently, I heard some radio programs mentioning the challenge of kindness, or how to make spouses happy unilaterally, or how to promote family harmony in remarried families. These were originally based on goodwill as a start, but they all have one common thing. It is to lift a certain person or a certain group of people aloft and take their happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy as the highest goal. On the surface, it seems achievable, but if you look at it from the perspective of the Bible, this is almost impossible to reach. Because this world is not controlled by man, but God is the boss. So if man’s effort does not conform to God’s will, it will become a waste of energy.

2. Preface

3. Kindness challenge
• This game is about several people or couples. List
how to be kind to each other, and then challenge
each other to see who can be more kind. The
advantage of this activity is that each other will
aim for kindness, but how to define what
kindness is ? Is it from the world?
• Rom. 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my
flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present
with me, but how to perform what is good I do
not find. ”

4. Spouse is unilaterally happy
• I heard that there is a celebrity who will never get
married because she wants to enjoy the pleasure
of being pursued by others. Some people say that
you should pursue your wife for the rest of your
life. But in real life, if you spend all your energy
on pursuing your spouse, how would you
perform well at work, how can you get a
promotion in the workplace, and how to take
care of your next generation? So, this kind of wish
is impossible in real life, and if a person stays in
this situation for a long time, according to
statistics he can last up to two years

searched out by man: who is able to have
knowledge of it?
• Rom. 10:12 “For there is no distinction between
Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich
to all who call upon Him.”
• Matt. 19:5 “and said, ‘For this reason a man shall
leave his father and mother and be joined to his
wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?”

idols: We know that we all have knowledge.
Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. ”
• 1John. 2:16 “For all that is in the world--the
lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the
world.”
• 【Proverbs 16:18】「Pride goes before
destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.。」

7. Getting along with
second-married families
• As for the second marriage, some suggest that all
the requirements of the previous generation of
all relationships, or even the previous generation,
should be listed, so that you can avoid hitting
landmines, but is this possible in real life? ? It can
be seen that human’s method makes sense in
theory, but it’s impossible in practice. If you take
into account that all people will change with the
living conditions, then the situation is really like
finding a needle in the sea, then what is God’s
Method?

8. God's method/
giving them a heart of flesh
• Ezekiel 11:19 I will give them an undivided heart
and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from
them their heart of stone and give them a heart
of flesh.
• James. 1:18 “Of His own will He brought us forth
by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of
first fruits of His creatures.”
• 2Cor. 6:14 “Do not be unequally yoked together
with unbelievers. For what fellowship has
righteousness with lawlessness? And what
communion has light with darkness?”

9. Being one in the truth
• Eph. 4:13 “till we all come to the unity of the
faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to
a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of
the fullness of Christ; ”
• 1John. 2:3 “Now by this we know that we know
Him, if we keep His commandments.”
• Eph. 4:29 “Let no corrupt word proceed out of
your mouth, but what is good for necessary
edification, that it may impart grace to the
hearers. ”
