The caring, courageous and funny Heidi learned to love the mountains as well as the little goatherd Peter - her only friend. Later, Heidi helped Clara, the disabled daughter of a wealthy businessman in Frankfurt, to find purpose in life. Johanna Spyri wrote about relationships people have with each other and showed humor in her writing. She demonstrated understanding of children's thoughts as well as positive and negative emotions they felt. In her writing Johanna Spyri let children be children – away from the blockages of rules that adults make.

- 12. Henri Dunant livedbetween 1828 and 1910. Early in his life, Dunant learned that a good Christian had to be committed to charitable activities. Henri Dunant worked as a representative of YMCA, a global organization that empowers young people to find and share their voice on the issues that matter to them and to the world. In the battle of Solferino, Italy in 1859, Henri Dunant organized emergency aid services for injured people. He helped anyone who needed help. Later, Dunant proposed the creation, in all countries, of voluntary relief societies for the prevention and alleviation of suffering in war and peacetime - without distinction of race or faith. Henri Dunant received the Peace Nobel Prize in 1901.
