3. What about Payment initiation?
Slow takeoff, does not add real value yet compared to cards or existing
solutions for B2C.
In B2B, big expectations around bulk payments but only recently available
in a sufficient amount of banks so too early to tell, partners and
customers are integrating it and launching it only now.

8. So, it’s been 2 years, where are we…
• Not there yet, but momentum intensifies
• Banks are more and more aware of the possibilities
• PSD2 PI + Request to Pay can be quite an interesting next step for Open Banking
• Improvements on banks side but not fast enough, still slowing TPPs growth
• A lot of TPPs in Europe are still relying on alternative solutions (scraping/reverse)
• Still very time consuming and not yet delivering on its promises
Let’s see what 2021-2022 will bring!
