3. The International Day for the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination
is observed annually on the 21st
March. This year, it has been
honoured with a series of activities
that took place in our school. Many
students from 9th and 10th grade
have participated in this activity.
5. Our students planned a series of debates
concerning discrimination and its
consequences, which can affect people
unfairly because of their :
- Race
- Ethnicity
- Religion
- Age
- Disability

15. Matters such as types of discrimination have
been discussed. We found out that
discrimination can be :
- DIRECT – treating someone less
favorably because of certain attributes of
who they are;
- INDIRECT - occurs when there is an
unreasonable rule or policy that is the
same for everyone but has an unfair effect
on people who share a particular attribute.

today’s society.
