3. The International Day for the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination
is observed annually on the 21st
March. This year, it has been
honoured with a series of activities
that took place in our school. Many
students from 9th and 10th grade
have participated in this activity.

4. We’ve come together to spread
awareness.

5. Our students planned a series of debates
concerning discrimination and its
consequences, which can affect people
unfairly because of their :
- Race
- Ethnicity
- Religion
- Age
- Disability

6. Little people, big dreams.

7. Andrei Bădescu talks social exclusion of victims of
discrimination.

8. Ionescu Lucia and Chiriac Paula discuss about victimization.

9. Iulia Gluga and Izabela Mihai bring another very important
problem into observation and consideration: harrassment.

10. Cabaua Florin presents religious discrimination.

11. Leopea Adelina, Mocanu Alina and Vapor Mihaela inform us
about racial and ethnical discrimination

12. Rusu Oana and Ioniță Andreea raise awareness about the
notion of discriminatory restriction.

13. Discrimination in history is brought to us by Pîrvu Elena and
Iulian Banea.

14. Sheila Rustem and Andreea Țiuleanu on about indirect and
direct discrimination.

15. Matters such as types of discrimination have
been discussed. We found out that
discrimination can be :
- DIRECT – treating someone less
favorably because of certain attributes of
who they are;
- INDIRECT - occurs when there is an
unreasonable rule or policy that is the
same for everyone but has an unfair effect
on people who share a particular attribute.

17. GET TO
KNOW US.
At the end of the activity, every student
freely presented their unique message
and opinion regarding discrimination in
today’s society.
