I. Background
a. Sampoerna Schools System Socialization
On the 10th of February 2015 the Sampoerna School System officially launched. It’s a
unique and seamless education pathway that will ignite the passion for learning and unleash the
potential of students. This end-to-end system comprises Sampoerna Academy day and boarding
schools for kindergarten to high school students, Sampoerna University and Sampoerna
Professional Development Center. However, before the official launching, the program of
Sampoerna Academy and Sampoerna Scholarships have been running and contribute tons of
positive impacts throughout the country.
Years by years has past and Sampoerna Schools System has successfully creating future
leaders that ready to flourish and sharing back to community. By this year, there are more than
200 alumni of Sampoerna Schools System. Because of that reason, Sampoerna Alumni
Association come up as the initiative to manage all these goldish resources to stay connected.
This association will collect all the alumni data and contacts to be source of alumni information.
Not only concentrating on that, Sampoerna Alumni Association also provide activities and
alternatives to develop the Alumni ability to compete as global citizen.
The Sampoerna Alumni Association of Jakarta is focusing on the Alumni who study, work
and live in Jabodetabek Area in term of their study development, working skills development
and long-life learning. Moreover, the socialization of the board will be very important for the
alumni member. This is the way to have a pathway to manage those goldish resources to become
successful people in the future.
b. Buka Bersama Sampoerna
Networking is the key of society life. Started from child until adult, people have been
invited to have good networking skills. Live as human being, networking as a part of successful
pathway. Even in the workplace, good networking become crucial issue. Therefore, good
networking are essential if people are going to life in society and professional workplace. As
the member will develop their career, they will find various reasons why good networking are
important matter.
In the work place, the importance of networking skills can be developing to increase
productivity. People who able to have good networking will able to create more chances and
will make the surrounding synergize. It produces productive work and performance which
ultimately impacts the company's bottom line. In fact, developing networking skills can be
beneficial in all aspects of life, from professional life to social gatherings, in business networking
effectively among colleagues to build greatest performance. So that, through this event, we
hope that Sampoerna Alumni will have good networking that will build the family relation closer.
As we hope that Sampoerna Alumni can go together to give a big change for human life.
II. Objective
This is an annual event which on 17th June 2016 will be held together with the socialization of
Sampoerna Alumni. It’s a positive and productive togetherness session between the alumni and the
students. This event will:
Socialization
 Inform the members about the progress of the organization
 Introduce the complete board of Sampoerna School Systems Alumni Jakarta Raya Chapter
 Strengthen the bonding between the cabinet of coordinator and the members
Buka Bersama Sampoerna
 Strengthen the bonding of SSSA members
 Increase the awareness of members about the importance of networking within the alumni
 Provide a place and time for the members to meet each other
III. Execution/Implementation
Socialization
1. The president will have short presentation about their progress of the programs
2. Introducing the complete board of SSSA including the real role of each department

1. Event Title: “BUSANA (Buka Bersama Sampoerna)” Sampoerna Schools System Alumni (SSSA)
Chapter Jakarta Raya
2. Sharing Session Theme: Silaturahmi by the head of Sampoerna Student Alumni
3. The event was consisting of having fun through the game, awards, door prize and the
performance from the alumni itself.
IV. Audience
- SAA, 100 persons
- Sampoerna University Alumni, 70 persons
- Member of PSFAA, 60 persons
- PSF, 10 persons
- Others, 10 persons
Total: 250 persons
V. Time and Place
Time and place for conducting the event “Socialization and Meet the Alumni”;
Day, Date : Friday, 17th June 2016
Time : 16.30 – 19.30
Place : Sampoerna Strategic Square Floor 3A
VI. Result / Lesson Learnt
Buka Bersama Sampoerna Alumni event has already done in the last Friday, June 17th, 2016. All
of rundown made before the execution day was already running well. Some of the sub-event might be
lost control by the committee. For example, a game is being canceled during the event due to the
limitation time that the committee had. The reason is because we are late to start the event. This is not
because the less preparation of the committee, but the lateness was actually coming from the audience
who are late to come to the event. The event will be impossible to run without the audience. Again, the
timing is become the problem. After that, the rundown a bit mesh up because there is problem in the
video conference that force the committee to switch the rundown and fit with the condition. Otherwise,
the lack communication within the committee become one of the biggest problem in this event. The
problem come when the date was changed and some of the committees are going home already. It
affects more for the preparation since we lost part of important members. Moreover, there is no backup
committee since we plan the event in the 10th June.
From the case above, the committee can learn that this will be better if the open registration for
the event must be earlier than what we expect. So, if the timing was late, the committee will still have
like a backup time to running the complete event. As a result, we will not miss any rundown that already
planned. For the upcoming event, we do really hope that this case can be avoided because we already
know the lesson from the previous event. After that, the steering committee need to emphasize that the
event will held in the exact date. Besides, we need to strengthen the communication within the committee
and set up face to face meeting frequently.

IX. Conclusion
We do hope that this event will have great impact like what already stated in all of the objectives
above. As the event already running well although some of the miscommunication and misunderstanding
were still there, we as the committee will improve all of the mistakes in the upcoming event. Thank you
for Putera Sampoerna Foundation and Sampoerna Alumni Association for the support so that we can
make this annual event happen. Hopefully, this event still can be run in the next year with better occasion.

It affects more for the preparation since we lost part of important members. Moreover, there is no backup committee since we plan the event in the 10th June. From the case above, the committee can learn that this will be better if the open registration for the event must be earlier than what we expect. So, if the timing was late, the committee will still have like a backup time to running the complete event. As a result, we will not miss any rundown that already planned. For the upcoming event, we do really hope that this case can be avoided because we already know the lesson from the previous event. After that, the steering committee need to emphasize that the event will held in the exact date. Besides, we need to strengthen the communication within the committee and set up face to face meeting frequently.

  • 10. IX. Conclusion We do hope that this event will have great impact like what already stated in all of the objectives above. As the event already running well although some of the miscommunication and misunderstanding were still there, we as the committee will improve all of the mistakes in the upcoming event.
