βDUMBASS FILMMAKERS!β
SET TO DEBUT IN SUMMER, 2011
βTRUE BLOODβ STAR DALE RAOUL JOINS CAST
OF WEBSERIES EXPLORING BISEXUALITY AND THE CREATIVE PROCESS
βDumbass Filmmakers!,β an existential comedy webseries starring Dale Raoul (βTrue
Bloodβ) will premiere at www.dumbassfilmmakers.com this Summer.
In βDumbass Filmmakers!β, Harrison DeWinter (Hunter Lee Hughes, βWinner Takes Allβ)
believes his movie will inspire others to save the environment, protest injustice and embrace
bisexuality. But when it comes to actually making the movie, Harrison canβt depend on his
quixotic imagination alone. He turns to Vicki Moretti (Elizabeth Gordon, βAstral Projection Can
Kill Youβ), an organized but lonely young woman who only wants to produce the movie to fill a
void in her love life. Harrison feels confident that with Vicki in place, his artistic vision will soon
materialize. But unexpected obstacles arise when Vicki fights to block vulnerable rising star
Bobby Tulane (Justin Schwan, βCutbackβ) from securing the lead role he so earnestly deserves.
Unlike Vicki, Bobby actually understands Harrisonβs movie, making him very appealing to
Harrison but very threatening to Vickiβs insecurities. Caught in the middle is mischievous
casting director Scott Fleischman (Jimmy Q. Dinh, βAmericaβs Got Talentβ), who hopes to
somehow profit from the experience. Ms. Raoul plays Harrisonβs disapproving mother, Brenda.
βDumbass Filmmakers!β explores a non-traditional love triangle between Harrison, his
producing partner Vicki and his creative muse Bobby. As if Vicki doesnβt have enough
competition for Harrison with Bobby, she also faces the beautiful Amalia (Barbara Costa), an
insanely dedicated actress whose style impresses Harrison. The love story develops against the

backdrop of an overwhelming and chaotic pre-production process for an incredibly stupid
movie. βDumbass Filmmakers!β was created by producing partners Hunter Lee Hughes and
Elizabeth Gordon. The seriesβ first season was written and directed by Mr. Hughes.
Dale Raoul (βBrenda Wintersβ) is best known for her role as Maxine Fortenberry on
HBOβs vampire series βTrue Blood.β Sheβs a veteran character actress who has worked in a
myriad of stage, film and television productions.
Hunter Lee Hughes (βHarrison DeWinter,β Writer/Director/Producer/Co-Creator) makes
his directorial debut with βDumbass Filmmakers!β He previously wrote βFate of the Monarchsβ,
which garnered a Criticβs Pick from Backstage and βThe Sermons of John Bradley,β for which he
was named Best Actor by StageSceneLa.com in their 2008-2009 βBest of Stageβ list. He also
wrote, produced and starred in the film βWinner Takes Alll,β which will premiere at the 35th
annual Atlanta Film Festival.
Elizabeth Gordon (βVicki Morettiβ, Producer/Co-Creator) has produced a number of
theatrical productions, including βThe Sermons of John Bradleyβ with Fatelink Productions. She
also produced the short film βWinner Takes All.β Ms. Gordon created her own original series
called βUntitled Word Project,β which premiered in 2008 and has performed in shows
throughout L.A. and Orange County to rave reviews in Backstage West and StageSceneLA.
Jimmy Q. Dinh (βScott Fleischmanβ) made Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne take
notice on last seasonβs βAmericaβs Got Talent.β Although they didnβt clear Mr. Dinh to the next
round, Mandel and Osbourne complimented him for his comedic instincts.
Justin Schwan (βBobby Tulaneβ) played gorgeous surfer Luke in βCutback,β which won
βPeopleβs Choice Award for Best Feature Filmβ at the San Diego Christian Film Festival.
Other notable talent includes Barbara Costa (βBeyond Wordsβ) as exotic star Amalia
Sousa and Adrian Quinonez (βEating Out 2β) as Marco Lorenzo, a hunk actor suffering from a
panic disorder. Ben Wells (βRiffRaffβ) appears as the handsome recovering sex addict Ned
Draper. Eric Colton (βDesperate Housewivesβ) recurs as the striking but self-involved Ricky
Blaine, an ex-boyfriend of Harrisonβs who now considers himself way out of Harrisonβs league.
