Your child has a fantastic opportunity to see some live theatre on Sunday 1st
February 2015, as
a half-da e ursio fro . a o ards. Shakespeare Kidz are presenting an adaptation
of A Midsu er Night s Drea Willia Shakespeare at the Ce trepoi t Theatre, DUCTAC,
Mall of the Emirates.
As the a e suggests, Shakespeare Kidz ai to ake li e theatre e jo a le for ou ger
viewers and this makes for a great and accessible first experience of Shakespeare. The company
uses a combination of authentic Shakespearian language and Standard English, along with
songs, to bring the plays to life.
In the coming years, Shakespeare and other playwrights form a large part of the English
Language A and B MYP Curriculum; therefore this trip should help provide a solid foundation
for future learning.
This opportunity is available to all Grade 6 & 7 students. Please note that the total cost payable,
including transport will be 180 AED.
 Buses will leave Uptown School at 10.15am and return at 3.15pm
 Prior to departure, classes will take place as per normal timetable
 Please bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks
