• PCB fitting implanted in the middle of the light fixture and a translucent plastic
covers it
• It is used as part of circadian rhythm to shine rays of light during weekday
lunch hours or rush hours when customers want a quick bite to eat without
being late for work by being too relaxed in the restaurant
• The PCB fitting is placed in the middle to create a balanced lighting system
during work hours so the cool lighting can be blended with the warm lighting to
make a bit of warm and cool lighting to keep a relaxing and alert environment
at the same time.
• This light shouldn’t be used in the evening time as it might interfere with the
customer’s experience in the restaurant
• The lighting fixture wires are covered with a light aluminum sheet cover to pre-
vent hanging wrapped cylinders from swinging. It could be very distracting to
the users and may disturb their table environment.
• Since the structure is hanging from a high ceiling, any swinging from that angle
makes it dangerous and can also be an annoying process for the customers to
stand up from the seat and stop swinging by themselves.
• Therefore the rod is used to keep the wires secured, safe and enable them to
stay in a fixed place.
• 2 Aircraft cables which came from the LED Driver connect themselves to the power supply
• These wires travel through the wholes of the component connected to the ceiling and go
into the walls, which supplies the whole lighting fixture with electricity.
• Unlike the wires located within the rods, these lighting wires do not come with aluminum
rods as various restaurants have power supply situated at different heights within the
walls; therefore, I kept the cables as it is to keep it flexible.
The Wrapped cylindra is a primary component for the new concept as each of the wrapped
cylinders in the structure are responsible for creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment.
On top of that, the food appears fresher and goldish crispy colouration to help trigger psycho-
logical satisfaction. If the food seems good looking, the customer becomes more eager to try
the food. Research states that people love eating food with their eyes in a restaurant environ-
ment before eating the food with their mouth. So looks are essential

INSPIRATION
• Bridges are unique and satisfying to travel
on or one from far. What is unique about
bridges is how they flow, how they balance
and how they harmonize different com-
ponents and make it flow like the ocean
or ladder. Like the bridge, a restaurant
must have balance, harmony and prop-
er flow and distribution of lighting. I have
done some research and found out that
the restaurant must have exactly 50/50
lighting throughout the dining area to have
equal space.
• Proper harmony and distribution of lights
can satisfy consumers and raise their ex-
pectations about the restaurant. On top
of that, it enhances the aesthetic and the
beauty of the restaurant.
• So the concept resembles the up-
side-down structure of a bridge. With pil-
lars harmonizing in opposite sides making
these two waves go two different sides,
creating harmony, flow and equal distribu-
tion of light.

• From the three materials I picked from the previous slide, I went with the copper design for the wires so
electricity can travel faster and smoother when supplying the light fixture with the power it needs to turn
on all the lights.
• Since cooper has excellent conductivity with a high lifespan, it is the perfect material to implant within
the rods.
• Although the material is quite expensive, safety should be greatly considered as low conductivity and
durability metal can produce low-quality lighting and may cause fire or corrosions after a long period

• Based on the information from the previous stainless steel is the cheapest and one of
the most durable metals on the list.
• The lifespan of stainless steel is also very long, which makes it very reliable.
• I did not use any other material because they either lacked durability or the price per
kilogram was too high with a shorter life span, such as bronze.
• Due to its lightweight and cheap price, aluminum is the best option for the
rod and the exterior component for the wrapped cylindra.
• Since aluminum has an infinite lifespan, it does not require maintenance
often, unlike other metals on the list.
• The aluminum’s lightweight pressure makes it easier for the stainless
steel metal to carry the entire component effortlessly.

The bottom Ceiling component is composed of PCB fitting and
translucent plastic cover, which is combined to make a high
ambience lighting setting that will only be used in rush hours
or weekday lunch hours as this light temperature ranges from
3800k to 4200k light temperature range. However, due to the
light’s distance from the table, it may shine dimmer than usual.
The top component is composed of a
compact rectangular area where all the
electrical lighting components are stored
inside as part of storage, protection and
aesthetic purposes.

• It showcases how all the wires connect each other onto differ-
ent components which makes up the entire lighting fixture.
• The black copper wires connect to the wrapped cylindra and
go up through the aluminum rods, which connect themselves
with other copper wires to make a bigger wire, connecting to
the LED Driver.
• The grey wires from the LED Driver go through the top ceiling
component holes, connecting to the main restaurant power
supply.
• All the main components are connected in a way that no ten-
sions are creating within them. The wire components are very
relaxed and have enough space to fit in properly and take up
lots of empty spaces inside.

• The manual option is different from the smart lighting as it
is not equipped with the smart lighting option. However, the
default setting meets the restaurant lighting requirements
and is designed to promote satisfaction within the restaurant
environment.
• The manual setting comes with three on and off settings,
with each switch turning on and off each category or lighting
layer. Once the light turns on or off, it does it gradually and
steadily to avoid any eye irritations

Smart Sensor
• The smart lighting option provides a personalized or default setup for the lighting fixture.
• In this buy option, users can personally change the lighting temperatures for different timing and
keep it fixed, so the workers don’t have to go to the switch consistently to change the temperature.
• It is a process similar to an alarm clock, but instead of ringing, the lighting will
automatically change colour and temperature, which gives the customers an enhanced experience
in the restaurant.
• The smart sensor located inside the light fixture will turn on and off by itself and display the
lighting temperature that the restaurant already set up for that specific time.
• The smart lighting device comes with an image and coloured display charts to reduce the
technology’s complexity.
• In other words, it is a programable device.
