During eight months (October – May) students will create Math Art Corner in their
school with art pieces which creation include dots, lines, symmetry, translation,
rotation, tessellation, 2D and 3D shapes and other math concepts.
Each month students create art piece (drawing, sculpture) that is based on
different math concept and add explanation of the concept that is used in its
creation. The creations can be done on paper or in computer applications.
Two times during the project (December and April) partner school exchange
some of the art pieces via mail so as to be added in the Math Art School Corners.
Students communicate on eTwinning forum and share tips about their creations.
During the whole period of the project students will build model of archeological
object from their city, step by step:
- In the first period (to December) students chose one historical
(archeological) object from their city/country, explore it from math aspect
(dimension, shape, decoration etc.);
- In the second period (to April) student make calculations and build the
model of the object from materials like Styrofoam or clay (with the respect
of dimension and ratio);
E-book will be prepared with all creations including dictactical comments in digital
format.PLEASE USE WORKSHEET HERE.

Communication and Collaboration:
We should look for opportunities to communicate and cooperate between students as well as between teachers. A good project provides a lot
of ideas of cooperation. And some countries just know that they like to apply for an eTwinning Quality Label of their country (that is only given if
there is cooperation). This could be e.g.
Common topics and explanations of each school how to embed it is normal lessons, in which grade, …
Testing out ideas from others and giving a small evaluation report
Competitions e.g. for a logo done by students? Or teachers? Take part of the discussion in the forum!
On school gives a task for other/another school(s)
Students vote for best products
Teachers commonly collect internet resources in a Padlet or in Pinterest
Teachers fill out the didactic paper that has been created by Silvana so that- at the end – a common book of lesson units with didactical
explanation is created (see http://twinspace.etwinning.net/files/collabspace/0/60/360/70360/files/ca1216e63.docx)
4. Structure of the twinspace:
TEAM MEMBERS (page and subpages):Main page with a Padlet in which you can add a short hello or pictures from you and your team ….
Each country has a subpage to tell more about you, your students, your school, …If you do not need it please write to Silvana.
CIRCLES AND ART CREATIONS (page and subpages): Main page for general ideas of this topic and perhaps later the best three results will
be presented here (Silvana will precise this). Each school should use the country subpages to upload students work and didactic comments.
Please specify the age group.
PROJECT LOGO:It will be a competition (among students?). The page has been updated. All logos should first be uploaded in the Country
folder. The three best logos should be after internal voting in your school uploaded to the folder called “Logos for this project”. We will create a
new page that contains all logos for the final vote. Deadline for uploading will be announced by Silvana. Please do not upload anymore pics to
the project journal. It should be a little bit more surprise for everyone when voting starts.
MATERIAL: Each country should upload their work (pics, videos, files) in their own country folder. So everyone really knows who has done it.
FORUMS:There are 2 Forums: one for didactic discussions because we should have common decisions. The other one is for technical
questions. Don’t hesitate to ask question e.g. how to do s.th. in the twinspace. The will be answered quickly.
