Gucci president and CEO Patrizio di Marco revealed that Gucci is set to launch a line of
children in June 2010. The line will be the first in Italy and 40 branches throughout the
world. Frida Giannini, creative director of the line. Giannini has a fresh, feminine take on
modern fashion applauded. In Rome, was born in 1972, father of the architect and his
mother, a professor of art history, she studied fashion design at the Academy of fashion
in Rome. After she continued her studies, they learn in a fashion house in a small scale.
In 1997 Giannini began a career at fashion house Fendi, where. After three seasons in
the development of ready-to-wear, designer leather goods, it contributed in 2002, she
moved to Gucci as director of handbags, and in 2004 the designer was promoted all the
accessories. A year later, in 2005, became the creative director of Gucci designer
ready-to-wear, in addition to developing its role as a designer of accessories. In 2006
Giannini was named creative director of the label, if it was responsible for the design of
men's clothing. In addition to designing clothes, she has also developed retail concepts
for Gucci stores, and creative control of advertising.
