2. The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 18.79 points or 0.54% higher to 3470.8, taking the year-to-date performance
to +3.14%.
The top active stocks today were DBS, which gained 0.38%, SingTel, which gained 0.93%, UOB, which gained 0.99%,
Sembcorp Ind, which declined 1.83% and Keppel Corp, with a closed unchanged.
The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index gained 0.09%, while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index rose 0.15%.
The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Technology Index, which rose 2.07%. The two biggest
stocks of the Index - Silverlake Axis and STATS ChipPAC – ended 4.07% higher and remained unchanged respectively.
The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Utilities Index, which slipped 1.39%. United Envirotech shares
gained 1.70% and Hyflux remained unchanged.

BUY THAI BEVERAGE AT CMP 0.735 TARGET 0.780 0.850 SL 0.650
Thai beverage has been in overall positive territory making higher
tops and higher bottoms in a broader range of 0.850 to 0.750 and re-
cently stock is bottoming out at levels of 0.720 with taking support of
100 day SMA along with RSI reversing from oversold zone and now at
44.401. The stock for Mid term is a buy at current levels due to posi-
tive signals.

Straits Times Index
Straits Times ended up on last trading session of the week due to buying
at lower levels that supported the index along with support of 50 days
SMA and positive domestic cues and global major equity markets. The in-
dex was supported by trend line support drawn from lows of Jan 2015.
The RSI is at 43.388 which is showing a support zone for the index in near
term.
