The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 4.94 points or 0.14% lower to 3460.68, taking the year-to-date performance
to +2.84%.
The top active stocks today were SingTel, which declined 0.91%, DBS, which gained 0.74%, UOB, which
gained 0.17%, Keppel Corp, which gained 0.77% and CapitaLand, with a 0.85% advance.
The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index gained 0.60%, while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index rose 0.21%.
The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Utilities Index, which rose 4.33%. The two
biggest stocks of the FTSE ST Utilities Index - United Envirotech and Hyflux – ended 0.30% higher
and 0.56% higher respectively.
The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Industrials Index, which slipped 1.11%. Jardine Matheson Holdings
shares declined 1.32%and Jardine Strategic Holdings declined 1.74%.

BUY COSCO CORP AT CMP 0.505 TARGET 0.550 0.620 SL 0.450
Cosco Corp was inn downtrend from last few trading sessions after it
has given a rally in last few months. The stock was in profit booking
period and yesterday it closed at higher level of 0.502. The stock is
expected to continue its upward momentum as its RSI has reversed
from oversold levels. We have buy on dips strategy for this counter.

Straits Times opened the day in green but ended down in red shredding
early gains on the back of profit booking at higher levels along with
negative Asian markets cues to end the day at 3460.68 levels. Index
touched intraday high of 3470.30. The RSI for index is at 63.953 which is
strengthening. In coming trading sessions buy on dips is advised.
