The facilities department at this New York City
Hospital manages a portfolio of over 8 million
square feet in New York City and a multi-billion
dollar capital plan.
In response to growth goals and increasing
complexity, the Hospital needed enhanced
management and coordination of its strategic
planning, capital asset planning, project
implementation, facilities operation, and
maintenance processes.
To achieve this objective, the Hospital engaged
Enstoa in 2008 to deploy Oracle Primavera
Unifier® to manage the capital project portfolio.
The implementation successfully delivered:
• A robust interface with the organization’s
financial system (Lawson™)
• Process collaboration with Capital Finance
and Procurement
• Structured workflows around project
budgets, costs, and change control
• Automation of the project gating
methodology, including new project
requests, construction and close-out phases.
In late 2009, the solution was extended to
include executive dashboards and reports.
Enstoa deployed the reporting database
for visualization and analytics laying the
foundation for the Hospital’s leading-edge
business intelligence capabilities.
In the summer of 2010, an integration hub was
deployed to manage additional integration
points to the reporting database, and in 2011
the Hospital continued to bring new systems
online with the addition of energy consumption
data.
Throughout the project, systems and tools are
selected using a“best of breed”approach,
which allows business units to retain the
best system for their function, and targeted
reporting initiatives are designed, developed,
and implemented using Enstoa’s fresh,
innovative methodology that consistently
delivers business value in short, 90- day release
