Description: During this

scene, several abused and neglected
animals will be shown. This scene is to
make viewers realize the harsh reality
of animal abuse.

Narration: none (just music)

Time: 1 minute 30 seconds
Description: In this scene, the           » Footage of Dogs at the Pound
viewer will see footage of innocent
dogs at the local Midland Animal
Control Pound. This will hopefully also
be a wake up call to residents knowing
that this is going on in our own city.


Audio: some slow and sad
instrumental back ground music
combined with the sounds of the dogs
and puppies whimpering helplessly
and barking in hopes of finding
someone to love them.


Narration: in addition to the dogs
crying for help in the background, we
will be talking briefly about how
severe this problem is and how these
dogs are being killed because of
irresponsible owners


Time: 2 minutes
Description: In this scene, the            » Cat Footage at the Pound
viewer will see footage of cats at the
local Midland Animal Control Pound.
This will hopefully be a wake up call to
residents knowing that this is going on
in our own city.

Audio: some slow and sad
instrumental back ground music
combined with the sounds of the
kittens and cats meowing helplessly
behind the bars of their cages.


Narration: we will talk about the
severity of cat abandonment in
Midland.


Time: 1 minute 30 seconds
Description: Drew and Emery will            » Information Segment with

seen and provide the audience with
information and statistics on animal
cruelty. Emery’s dog, Trixie, a victim of
previous animal cruelty will be shown to
the viewers.

Narration: Drew and Emery will
inform the audience mainly on the two
types of animal cruelty, and give
examples of each. We will also give a
couple statistics on the frequency of
animal cruelty.


Time: 3 minutes

Description: The audience will see
an interview of Marisa Kent, which will
give a strong and educated opinion of a
student who is active in animal rights.


Audio: No music, only Marisa
speaking.


Narration: Marisa will give her
opinion on animal cruelty and
explain to the viewers why she is a
vegetarian. She will also give a few
ideas of how students can help
prevent animal cruelty in our
town.


Time: 5 minutes 10 seconds
Description: This interview will serve

as our professional source. The manager
of Midland Animal Control, Paul O’Neil      the Pound
will inform our viewers about animal
cruelty in Midland.


Audio: No music will play, just Paul
speaking.


Narration: Paul O’Neil gives some
facts about how many animals are
brought in to the pound and how
many are adopted. He also shares
some stories about a few animals in
the pound, who are victims of abuse.
Lastly, Paul offers a few solutions to
this growing problem.


Time: 4 minutes
Description: The viewer will see          » Interview of Joe Simmons
the an interview of Joe Simmons, who
will speak about a time when he was
attacked by a dog, which will provide a
real life narrative.



Audio: No music will play, just Joe
speaking.


Narration: Joe tells the audience of
a time when hen was attacked by a an
aggressive dog. The dog was most
likely aggressive because he was
neglected. This shows the viewer a
real example of the harm that results
from animal cruelty.


Time: 2 minutes
Description: Drew and Emery will           » Another Information

what has happened so far, and provide a

animal cruelty stories, including a

with an arrow just outside of Midland.


Time: 2 minutes 30 seconds.

an interview of K Delvadiya, a fellow

audience will just hear K speaking.


Narration: K will tell the audience
about his vegetarian views, and about
the reality of animal cruelty that really
does exist in Midland. He also gives
several examples of how students can
prevent animal cruelty.


Time: 1 minute 30 seconds
Description: the viewer will see           » Pictures of Cats & Dogs at
several pictures that we have taken at       the Pound
the pound of these poor cats and
dogs.

Audio: juxtaposingly happy music will
play during this scene. This will
emphasize the sarcasm of how this is
not a happy topic in any sense


Narration: most of the time, only the
music will be playing but we will add in
a few facts about local animal cruelty
and what is happening to these very
dogs that they are seeing in our local
pound


Time: 1 minute 30 seconds
Description: Once again, as in the            » Happy Dogs playing again
beginning, the viewers will see happy
dogs playing. This will help viewers to see
again what they can do in an animal’s life
and how this is the life they deserve to
have. Once again, this scene should
inspire the viewers to make a change.


Audio: “Somewhere Over the
Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World”: -
Isreal Kamakawwiwo’ole

Narration: there will be mostly
music playing during this scene but
they will be very minimal commentary
by Drew and Emery about how viewers
need to step out and save and animal’s
life.


Time: 1 minute 30 seconds
Description: In this final scene, we
are doing everything possible to show         » Take Action
viewers how easy it is for them to make a
change. They can report abuse by simply
having their eyes and ears alert and
making a quick call to the police or animal
control. This is our last attempt to make
sure that the viewer is taking away
something from this documentary. We
hope that this will inspire change within
our community.


Audio: “Jumping Bean” – Nelo

Narration: Drew and Emery
will discuss all the easy ways that
the viewer can make a change in
local animal cruelty.
