5 He predestined us to be adopted as His sons
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His
pleasure and will ….

3. 1. You have a Father in heaven who has
adopted you as His son / daughter.
2. You have a father on earth.
3. You can also adopt: Be a father or
mother to someone else!

4. 1. You have a Father in heaven who has
adopted you as His son/daughter.

5 He predestined us to be adopted as His sons
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His
pleasure and will—

5. Romans 8:15 (NKJV)
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to
fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom
we cry out, "Abba, Father.”
Galatians 4:5-7 (NKJV)
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we
might receive the adoption as sons. 6 And because you
are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into
your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" 7 Therefore you
are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir
of God through Christ.

6. Hebrews 2:11 (CEV)
11 Jesus and the people he makes holy all belong to
the same family. That is why He isn't ashamed to
call them His brothers and sisters.
Matthew 12:49-50 (NLT)
49 Then he pointed to His disciples and said, “Look,
these are my mother and brothers. 50 Anyone who
does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother
and sister and mother!”

Ephesians 5:23-6:5 (NIV)
23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ
is the head of the church, his body, of which he is
the Saviour. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ,
so also wives should submit to their husbands in
everything.

8. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved
the church and gave himself up for her …28 In this
same way, husbands ought to love their wives as
their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves
himself.

9. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife
as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her
husband.

10. 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is
right. 2 "Honour your father and mother"--which is
the first commandment with a promise-- 3 "that it
may go well with you and that you may enjoy long
life on the earth."

11. 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead,
bring them up in the training and instruction of the
Lord.

12. 3. You can also adopt:
Be a father or mother to someone else!
Philippians 2:20-22 (NIV)
20 I have no one else like him, who takes a genuine
interest in your welfare. 21 For everyone looks out
for his own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. 22
But you know that Timothy has proved himself,
because as a son with his father he has served with
me in the work of the gospel.
