Introductions and Overview of first video project: Still images+Audio+Music
Participants will choose one of the following three texts and extract a 5-7 sentence section for their narrative.
• The Declaration of Independence
• I have a Dream Speech (MLK)
• The Gettysburg Address
Session 3 – 9:30-9:45 BS
The importance of copyright:
*Show the Disney Video on copyright
*Show a “Don’t” video that abuses copyright
*We will be using only copyright-friendly images from our media resources and Google images
Session 4 - 9:45-10:00 RG
Introduction to still video styles
Showcase examples of Ken Burns technique and use of still images
Session 5 - 10:00-11:00 EP and Hands On
Pre-Production
*Editing and Modifying prepared narratives
*How to conduct a copyright-friendly image search and organizing your images in a folder
*Working with a Storyboard

Session 6 - 11:10:12:00 RG
Intro to Editing
• Adobe Premiere Interface Overview
• Importing media (PICTURES, SOUND EFFECTS, MUSIC, VOICEOVER)
• Space holding Title card for audio track
• Creating narration track
• Arranging a rough cut in the Timeline

Session 7 – 1:00-2 :00 Hands On
Image Animation (Ken Burns) Indepdent work
2. Polishing: Adding transitions and titles
Exporting video for the web (mpeg)
Session 8 - 2:00-2:30 EP
Uploading finished work to Vimeo
