1. REFLECTIVE PAPER
Name ___________________________________ Course & Section ____________________
Guide Questions:
There are four independent episodes in the play. Focus your reflection on the two episodes:
1) The Last Poem where a young man sits beside his dying wife. For the briefest of moments,
he manages to make her spirits soar. When she realizes the end is near, she asks of her
husband to read her favourite poem for the last poem; and 2) Alon ng Buwan, a modern piece
that draws inspiration from centuries old Filipino dance form ‘Pangalay’. The
modern/contemporary dance reflects the many moods and temperament of the sea waves as
dictated by the moon, sometimes gentle, at times turbulent, but always unpredictable.
