PORTFOLIO PROJECTS IN KUWAIT
• Kuwait gained independent statehood from Britain and Iraq during the 1960s, and since
that time, one real estate firm has led the way in rebuilding and further developing the
nation. Committed to upholding traditional Kuwaiti business principles, Ahmadiah
Contracting & Trading Co. started with a concise ten-line contract and a handshake, and
its subsequent collaborations and partnerships have flourished into continued success
and progress.
• The work of Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading Co. (ACTC) covers everything from towers
and commercial centers to public infrastructure and airports. Most recently, the company
has focused on building a National Guard Headquarters, the Bayt Abdullah Children
Hospital, and the Mina-Abdullah Pumping Plant. These projects will complement the
comprehensive portfolio of completed constructions at ACTC, and the following list offers
a brief overview of 15 of their notable structures:
3. BAYAN PALACE
• Finished in 1985, the Bayan Palace originally served as a facility for the Islamic
Conference held in 1987. ACTC completed the venue in 12 months for the Ministry
of Public Works in Kuwait. The palace includes a congress building, a conference
hall, and residential areas for Heads of State.
4. 360 MALL
• Commissioned by the Tamdeen Real Estate
Co., with construction guided by ACTC, 360
Mall is a luxury shopping center in Al-Zahra,
Kuwait. The $175 million circular structure
houses a 14-screen theatre, and an office
building and car park complement the
design.

5. DAR AL-AWADI TOWER
• ACTC collaborated with two other organizations, Real Estate Investment Co. and
SAK, to develop the 34-storey tower. Dar Al-Awadi functions as a commercial
complex with a fully furnished shopping mall and office spaces, and the external
décor features traditional projecting windows.
6. AMIRI DIWAN
• The Amiri Diwan project required three years of construction, and His Highness the
Emir and others now use the headquarters building. For the $172 million contract,
Ahmadiah builders sourced limestone, reconstructed stone, and glass fiber
reinforced concrete to complete the façade and cladding details.
7. SOCIAL SECURITY CARP PARK & TUNNEL
• With a total built-up area of 57,000 square meters, the Social Security Car Park &
Tunnel in Mirqab, Kuwait, has a capacity of 1,250 vehicles. Two basement levels
serve as the foundation for three above-ground floors and a roof section. Builders
leveraged the latest in mechanical and electrical technology to outfit the structure.
8. UNITED TOWER
• Located in Sharq, Kuwait, the United Tower stands at 256 meters tall and is owned
by United Real Estate Company. ACTC completed the luxury project in 2011 at a
cost of roughly $160 million, and the building’s 62 floors include business and
residential accommodations.
9. KUWAIT FINANCE HOUSE HEADQUARTER
• Since 1986, the Kuwait Finance House Headquarter building has stood as one of the
nation’s most prominent banks. ACTC led the project as the main contractor, and
the structure features a number of decorative designs and finishes, including granite
cladding and sculpture ceilings.
10. COURTYARD MARRIOTT HOTEL
• In partnership with the client
company Salhia Real Estate Co.,
ACTC finished this building in
2003. The Courtyard Marriott
Hotel is a four-star hospitality
venue, and it offers favorable
proximity to other buildings in the
Arraya Center.

it as the premier skyscraper in Kuwait. ACTC fulfilled the role of general contractor
on the record-setting project, which required $59.2 million in funding.
12. ARAB ORGANIZATION HEADQUARTERS
• Built for the Arab Fund for Social and Economic Development, the Arab
Organization Headquarters represents a $112-million investment. The monolithic
edifice provides a contemporary home to a collection of traditional artwork, and one
of the most commanding details of the internal atrium is a 19-meter, freestanding
glass wall.
13. AL SEEF HOSPITAL
• Ahmadiah assisted with building the Al Seef Hospital between 2004 and 2005. The
finished building includes 70 patient rooms, as well as rooms and apartments for
VIP guests. Located on the 21st floor is a helipad for emergency transportation.
14. SUAD TOWER
• Part office building, part commercial complex, the Saud Tower was built at the
request of the heirs of the late Abdul Aziz Dhakheel Al Usaimi. One prominent
feature of the 16-storey building is the structurally glazed curtain, which covers
12,000 square meters of build-up area.

structure, which comprises three commercial shopping floors, as well as a restaurant
floor.
