Professional Experience:
2008 to Present: Principal Engineer serving Industrial, Mechanical, Construction, and Forensic fields.
Assignments include HVAC system design, mechanical product design, construction defects, accident
reconstruction, process/safety design and development.
2005 through 2008: Industrial and Mechanical Engineering consultant supporting manufacturing firms with
product design and development, project management, and process improvement.
2000 through 2005: Product development engineer and manager specializing in HVAC, mechanical,
electronic, DCS and pneumatic control systems as well as other products for construction, industrial,
commercial and government facilities.
1995 through 2000: Engineer-in training in construction, industrial and mechanical contracting fields.
1989 through 1997: Served in the Cavalry in the U.S. Army and Louisiana Army National Guard. Training and
duties included vehicle distance and speed estimating; vehicle track analysis; operations and maintenance of
heavy equipment; including the Bradley Armored Fighting Vehicle before, during and after combat operations
in the Persian Gulf and Iraq.
Edward Carrick, a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering School at the University of New
Orleans, is a registered professional engineer and principal engineer of Performance
Analysis, LLC. Mr. Carrick routinely investigates accidents related to vehicles, equipment,
products, product design, and other mechanical systems and components.
