released developers preview of
another variant of Android i.e
M. Google has brought
numerous changes including
client experience , settling a
large number of bugs and some
enormous changes to Android
platform.

Full Control to USER – App
Permission
Google in its latest version of
Android M gives more control
to user over the application and
the information user wants to
share.
Google Play will show the set of
permissions required by the
app and you would be able to
decide whether to install app or
not.

3. App Link – Easy to Link between
App
Android M comes up with a new
feature which helps the customer
easy to switch between the apps.
It allowed user to discover the
app already install and reengage
without seeking permission for
preferred mode.
For Example :- Someone sends
you the link of Twitter or Linkedin
on gmail then it will automatically
open in twitter app or Linkedin
app if installed. Congrats users no
more “OPEN With” annoying
permissions anymore.

4. Android Pay & Finger Print
Sensor
Google is set to bring Android
Pay and Fingerprint sensor.
Google has already started to
work closely with carriers and
is supposed to launch Pay with
almost all newly released
Android phones. A/c to a

support for fingerprint sensors,
this will make life easier of
mobile app development
companies as well as
developers who would be able
to use Android APIs to
integrate fingerprint
recognition to their app.

5. Chrome Custom Tabs
Chrome Custom tab feature is
all set to give Android Apps
more control over their web
experiences . This new feature
will allow apps to open one
customized chrome window
and open app in their own in-
app brower using webviews,
instead of launching chrome

Recent Updates
Android M first preview update on 9 July.
Platform Permission for external storage, Wi-Fi, bluetooth location, device connection through USB
Port now will be set to charging only by default.
Media, Bluetooth Stylus API update and fix other issues reported by developers.
Auto App Backup update on 29 July
Google has made a big change by bringing auto backup for app which now enables backup and restore
possible with no requirement of application code. This feature will be available with Android devices
running Android M.
