1. Hopeful for the Republican Nomination Rallies Soldiers at Fort Bliss Who better than former U.S. Army General, Joseph Fable, to bring a sense of positivity to the troops at Fort Bliss? Not only is Joseph Fable a prominent military figure, but he has also recently announced that he is running for the Republican Nomination for President, which could potentially take him all the way to the oval office next January. Fable has launched his campaign trail as well, in attempts to win over the unpredictable swing states. Before he arrived in El Paso Texas to deliver yet another promising speech at Fort Bliss yesterday, April 22, he was in Jefferson City, Missouri, at Lincoln University. There will be no more cities proceeding this last stop in Texas, but his publicists have mentioned that he will very likely be out on the campaign trail again, most of which, so far, has been dedicated to actuating college youth, by delivering several speeches at universities across the country. “ A true American will make an effort to finish what he started, and Continued on page 2 The Texan Times www.texantimes.com El Paso’s Most In-Depth News - Since 1902
2. NEWS as he appealed to their Army-instilled work ethic. Fable has confidence that our soldiers are prepared to continue fighting in the Middle East: “The average American might be surprised at the enthusiasm that these soldiers posses; true, we have been fighting this war much longer than planned, and it seems like our soldiers should be tired out and ‘over it,’ but these men are here to fight for their country, so that’s what they fully intend to do.” He strongly believes that we must stay in the Middle East, primarily Iraq, and persist in fighting. Preceding a roar of applause, he noted, “The end of the war is in sight, it’s just going to take some perseverance to reach the end of the tunnel, and I have that perseverance.” Gen. Fable believes that before pulling out of Iraq we should aid the Iraqis in maintaining their government-in-the-works and make sure that they are stable enough to support themselves politically. He fears that pulling troops out too soon will cause the Iraqi government to collapse, consequently resulting in the U.S. loosing a great deal of the progress we have made in the last several years. Joseph Fable is a man of strong moral character that carries over into his political career, in which he has also instilled respectable values, such as the classic “finish what you start” motto; this correlates with his beliefs that we should finish our job in the Middle East before throwing in the towel. Clearly, he is a goal-oriented individual, who, as president, could very well bring home our soldiers with a sense of pride and dignity resulting from success in Iraq. It is quite obvious that Joseph Fable is precisely the type of politician we need in Washington, and more importantly, the White House.
