What is Calibration??
Calibration is defined as "the set of operations required to ensure that an item of measur-
ing equipments is in the state of compliance with the requirements for its intended use.”
Why Calibrate??
Periodic use of instruments reduces accuracy of instruments, resulting error and ultimately
leading to wrong results. Therefore, the quality control instruments and process equip-
ments need to be calibrated time to time to ensure its proper functioning.
Benefits of calibration:
♦ Ensures accuracy of equipments: Calibration of equipments ensures the end user that
the accuracy and reliability of equipments are intact as specified .
♦ Minimizes breakdown: Regularly calibrated equipments have longer self -life than un-
calibrated equipments. It also minimizes the breakdown time of equipments in quality
control and production line, thus saves time and money.
♦ Meets Certification requirements: Calibration of measuring and test equipments (M
&TE) is must for various certification like ISO/HACCP, etc.
♦ Improvement in quality: Calibration of (M & TE) ultimately improves the quality of
products by reducing quality problem, scrap, fewer rejections and less rework.
♦ Safe working environment: Un-calibrated instruments may cause the breakdown of

Pressure Calibration:
CALTECH provides calibration services for all types of pressure
instruments. We have a traceable standard ranging from (–1) to 400
bar. CALTECH is also capable for Magnehelic gauge calibration
ranging from (–200) mmWC to 200 mmWC.
Thermal Calibration:
This calibration service extends to different thermal instruments such
as Thermometer, Sensors, Digital Thermometer, Indicators, control-
lers, Temperature bath and many more. We are equipped with high
standard precision baths and comparison sensors for this purpose. We
provide thermal calibration range from (–30) to 600˚C.
Humidity Calibration:
This calibration extends to analog (wet and dry bulb) hygrometer and
Humidity chamber. We use comparison method for calibration. Our
standard equipment ranges form 10 to 90% RH.
Other Calibration Services:
Our other services include electrical instrument
calibration, timer calibration, pH/conductivity meter
calibration, ORP meter, etc . Different ranges are
provided for different instruments.
