1. TRAVELLINGS
TURKEY – ANKARA
The transnational meeting in Turkey: the workshop - traditional art of painting,
cooking; photo exhibition with theme: "The Total Communication"; understanding
the specific life and culture; practicing Total Communication skills.
The children had the opportunity to use all forms language (written, verbal, and
sign language) to communicate with each other. The photo exhibition themed as
Total Communication was composed of children’s own photo works. Visit to The
Grand National Assembly of Turkey, school visits- Doğan Çağlar School for
Children with Orthopedic Disabilities, Göreneller School of Children with Visual
Impairments, Ankara tour, and Kappadokia visit, as a part of understanding life
and culture in Turkey, were achieved with the participation of all partners.
Moreover, Ebru workshop (traditional art of painting), cooking and tasting
traditional Turkish food were practiced. An evaluation of the first meeting was
done. A tool for evaluating the project was filled by the partners. Project partners
exchanged their experiences and ideas about the meeting and planned the next
meeting in Hungary.
BUDAPEST - HUNGARY
Transnational meeting in Hungary: workshop with theme "Total Communication
Approach"; performance: "Beyond the barriers of communication"; understanding
the specific life and culture; practicing Total Communication skills .
The children had the opportunity to use all forms language (written, verbal, sign
language, etc. ) to communicate with each other.
The students of the Hungarian partners gave the performance: "Beyond the
barriers of communication" and the teachers participated at the workshop with
theme "Total Communication Approach".
2. Each of us have opportunity to see, to know new people, to try to do some new
things, to see new places of great natural value, to learn something new about
Hungarian nation and culture. We visited to Esztergom-Visegrád and to the
Museum of Visegrád as a part of understanding life and the history and culture in
Hungary. The participants went to the Houses of the Parlament of Hungary, and to
the Buda Castle seeing museums, and famous buildings, took part of a little boat
trip on the Danube in Budapest, took a sightseeing tour in the inner city of
Budapest. The participants looked around the school of the Hungarian partner
and took part of many events.
There was an evaluation about the meeting by the partners. Project partners
exchanged their experiences about the meeting and planned the next meeting in
Poland.
SLAWNO - POLAND
Transnational meeting in Poland: workshop with theme "Different but together" -
educational software; performance: "Beyond the barriers of communication";
understanding the specific life and culture; practicing Total Communication skills
.
The teachers attended in workshop about final product: educational software. We
agreed the first draft for the software, distributed the tasks, agreed terms.
Students took part in Pantomime Workshops. It was a great opportunity to cross-
Total Communication.
We have participated at International Day of Deaf - school celebration with
performance with Polish students, at Baked Potato Festival - outdoor activities
(integration games for children). We visited Darlowo, a small city by the Baltic
see, Slowinski National Park, Museum of Polish Village in Kluki, as a part of
understanding life and culture in Poland.
An evaluation of the meeting was done. A tool for evaluating the project was filled
by the partners. Project partners exchanged their experiences and ideas about the
meeting and planned the next meeting in Czech Republic.
3. CZECH REPUBLIC - HRADEC KRÁLOWÉ
Transnational meeting in Czech Republic: presentation of English version of the
educational software; performance: "Beyond the barriers of communication";
understanding the specific life and culture; practicing Total Communication skills.
We visited the Czech school and the Bezhran – center of educating sign language.
The Czech students prepared the theatre performance, several etudes to show
theatre and pantomime. Pupils had the theatre workshop. They try to do some
pantomime together. They learn something new and they try to communicate with
others.
Teachers' meeting was about the software which is the final product of our
project. We talked about our next steps and things which are important to do.
Each of us have opportunity to see new people, try to do some new things, see
historical places, to learn something new about Czech culture and life of Czech
deaf people. We visited Hradec Kralove tour, Prague and Kutna Hora, as a part of
understanding life and culture in Czech Republic.
An evaluation of the meeting was done. A tool for evaluating the project was filled
by the partners. Project partners exchanged their experiences and ideas about the
meeting and planned the last meeting.
