1) Jawaharlal Nehru Postgraduate Institute of Neurosciences and Trauma Centre (JPNATC) is a 175 bed hospital with two buildings and 8 specialties that previously had no networking, internet, or PACS/HIS systems. 2) The hospital implemented a dual wired and wireless network connecting 125 computers across patient areas, along with a PACS system and open-source HIS to digitize medical records and imaging. 3) The computerization project cost a total of Rs. 45 lakhs and has resulted in annual cost savings of Rs. 44.4 lakhs from reduced film usage due to the PACS system being 60% filmless.
