Highlights of Work Done in
PGVCL – Jamnagar Circle (contd…)
1) Immediately engrossed in the 7 nos of Lok Darbars
arranged by Hon’ble MoSE in the District during
June-2006 and July-2006. Cleared all 327
questions raised during the Lok Darbar in the
ensuing months.
2) Faced cyclone damage related works. More than
1000 poles damaged during monsoon. Power
restoration work completed.
3) Major project of conversion of 11 KV lines to 22 KV
Pin Insulator lines & all LT lines & T/Cs at Dwarka
Town completed within a record time of 21 days
during Aug-2006.

4) Major restructuring of Jamnagar Circle at the time
of REC Divn / Sub Division Closure.
a. Distribution of Sub Divisions in various Divisions.
b. Creation of 3 nos of new Sub Divisions i.e. Hapa,
Kalyanpur & Sat-Rasta & New City Division II.
5) Completed the work of Special Designed
Transformer installation on all feeders.
6) ‘Right man–Right job’ strategy adopted in posting
and Stern actions against notorious departmental
persons to encourage sincerely working
employees.
7) To assist sub divisions for legal action, Special
Team was formed and entrusted this specific job.
8) To replace faulty meters of urban feeders having
high T&D losses, ‘Smart Gang’ was formed in
Jamnagar City Area.

1) “Payment Anywhere” in
Jamnagar and Khambhalia.
 Cash flow increased and
consumer satisfaction goes up.
2) ‘Additional `Incoming
Only’ Telephones at Fault
Centers of each S/dn.
 Consumer conflict reduced.
3) Visitor pass introduced for
security purpose at main
entrance.
 Entry of any unauthorized
person restricted and
punctuality in staff increased.
4) Token System in the
Laboratory.
 Lab working become smooth,
output increased and
consumer grievances reduced.
5) CCTV installed for
surveillance purpose in
City and Rural Laboratory.
 Marked improvements in staff
awareness and transparency in
work.

6) Group Meeting arranged at
villages to create
‘Consumer Awareness’
regarding Energy
Conservation.
 Good response found and
villagers were agreed to stop
unnecessary use of electricity
and to pay bills promptly.
7) Technical Study Circle
formed at Circle HQ.
 First meet was held on
Consumption Analysis, which
helped Engineers a lot.
8) HT network of Dwarka Town
reconfigured as being a
highly important pilgrim
centre.
 Managed stability of power
supply with Zero interruptions
in coastal town.
9) New software developed for
‘Customer Care Center’ in
Jamnagar.
 Templates on various type of
application made available to
any consumer.
