History
1946
DONIT Sealant Factory was established
(as TESNILKA MEDVODE)
In 1946 the founder of DONIT Edo Bregar-Don joined forces
with a handful of his peers, and using a rather primitive
method based on a pre-World War One process succeeded
in manufacturing the first 38 tons of sealing sheets.
1947
Building of the first production unit
DONIT built its first production unit at the present site
in Medvode, concluded the first co-operative contract
with the Tovarna Avtomobilov Maribor vehicle plant, and
exported its first consignment of sealing products.
1948 – 1980
Production expansion and technological
development
DONIT quickly expanded its activities and production.
The continuous technological development of new
products, plus the focus on in-house development and
on foreign markets were the elements that proved to be
essential to the company’s rapid growth.
1980 – 1989
First gasketing material, based on syn-
thetic aramide fibers
DONIT experts designed the first sheet of new gasket-
ing material, based on synthetic aramide fibers thereby
joining the world’s leading producers of sealing materi-
als. High quality, continuous technological upgrades and
care for people and the environment are elements which
have become constant features at DONIT.

JUNE 1, 1992 –
DECEMBER 31, 1992
Restructuring the company
Due to business and financial problems as a result of
severely adverse business conditions in the second half
of 1992 DONIT restructured its activities to create sever-
al independent subsidiaries.
1996
ISO 9001 certificate
DONIT TESNIT acquired the ISO 9001 certificate for its
Quality Management System.
OCTOBER 1997
DONIT TESNIT was transformed into a
joint-stock company
After ownership restructuring DONIT TESNIT was trans-
formed into a joint-stock company.
2000
DONIT TESNIT stopped asbestos produc-
tion
DONIT TESNIT stopped using asbestos in gasket sheets
production. Asbestos used to be one of widely used
materials in gasketing industry due to its resistance to
high temperatures, as well as excellent durability and
flexibility. But because of its negative health impact
many producers, DONIT TESTNIT among them, banned
asbestos and replaced it with other materials.

2001
Acquisition of TESNILA TIT
Due to the expansion of the production program DONIT
TESNIT acquired the Trebnje-based TESNILA TIT com-
pany, which has been producing gaskets since 1975.
The merger of both companies was completed in 2004,
which provided an opportunity for new growth in the
production of industrial gaskets.
2008
MSIN acquired DONIT TESNIT
The Slovenian private equity firm MSIN d.o.o. (Ltd.)
acquired DONIT TESNIT with the long-term ambition
to develop DONIT TESNIT to become one of the leading
international brands for gasket sheets and industrial
gasket solutions in the market of Static Sealings.
2012
New graphical image and modern ap-
proach
We will be the preferred gasket sheets and gaskets pro-
vider for customers that value superior service, quality,
reliability and innovation. We will create high added
value for our customers, employees and partners.
2014
Acquisition of DISS-Europe bvba
DONIT TESNIT and DISS-Europe bvba joined forces to
strengthen their competitive position on the interna-
tional static sealing market. Synergies were achieved
from combining knowledge and experience in applica-
tion engineering of both partners, from direct access to
all DONIT materials and services and direct access to
markets.

Environmental Policy
Environmental safety pays off
DONIT TESNIT d.o.o. has also put in place effective systems for communication with the environment it is operating
in. The company follows strict internal policy and complies with external statutory rules and regulations to ensure
the occupational health and safety of our employees.
At DONIT®, we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment, therefore we have developed an environ-
mental policy to improve our processes in a way that minimizes the impact on the working and wider environment.
Due to its importance, environmental policy, health and safety at work measures, and socially responsible behaviour
are constituent parts of the company management policy, enabling us to create values for owners, employees and
the public.
We undertake to:
• incorporate environmental protection measures into the development strategy, annual and operational plans, in-
cluding anticipated measures, resources, holders, contractors and deadlines to reduce the negative effects on the
environment;
• monitor and measure emissions and environmental effects, and take appropriate action in the event of deviations;
• improve the implementation of environmental protection measures by following environmental regulations;
• use technologies, materials and components which comply with domestic and foreign environmental standards;
• strive for the reduction of waste, and rational use of energy resources;
• develop products with minimum environmental impact throughout their life cycle;
• educate, train and encourage employees to act responsibly towards the environment.
Our priority objectives are:
• to reduce the amount of hazardous waste;
• to separate collection and recycling of waste as well as reduce waste for disposal;
• to use energy products, raw materials and natural resources rationally;
• to replace dangerous substances with less harmful alternatives.
We ensure that our employees are familiar with and understand our quality policy, and that its suitability is routinely
evaluated through management reviews.
