Doc Brady discusses the history and definition of autism, including its growth in America. Likewise, the research that persists with regard to finding both a cause and cure for the disorder. In this presentation, Doc Brady talks about the effectiveness of therapy over medication, and how recent studies show that mindfulness is not only helpful in alleviating behavioral problems— from which nearly all individuals on the spectrum suffer—but influential in developing more positive behaviors irrespective of the disorder. Lastly, Doc Brady shares the importance of this research and building on it, as a means of advancing the quest for a cure.
