Fiction: You can get a good job
without finishing college.
Fact: 60 percent of jobs by 2020 will
require a college credential.
Many colleges and universities
award degrees to students each
year.
Join the ranks of your peers by
completing your degree.
The following information applies to credit students. Non-credit students will find registration information at
Community Education Registration and Professional Development Registration.
As an open-admissions institution, CCAC does not require college entrance examinations. To enroll as a full-
time student, applicants must have a high school diploma or Pennsylvania GED certificate or must be at least
18 years of age with experience reasonably equivalent to a GED.
To be admitted to the college, please follow these steps:
 Complete an application for admission online or download the application for admission (PDF) and
submit it to the campus you wish to attend. Please consult the Programs of Study listing for help in
selecting a CCAC major. All potential students must fill out and submit an application form.
Applications may be obtained at the Admissions office on each campus or from a high school
guidance counselor. There is no application fee.
 Submit official high school transcripts or GED scores. All applicants must submit transcripts. Official
transcripts from other colleges or universities will be evaluated for advanced standing if you request
such an evaluation at the time of application. Transcripts become the property of the College and will
not be returned.
 CCAC recognizes credit earned in several ways, including college coursework in high school,
transferred credits from other institutions, standardized subject tests, and various industry and
agency training and certifications. For details, please see Advanced Placement Credits – Prior
Learning Assessment
 It is strongly advised that applications be completed and submitted one month prior to the beginning
of each semester. Although there is no set deadline for admission to the college, applications are
processed in the order they are received.
 Schedule a placement test. The tests are used for course placement only and are not criteria for
admission. Once you have been accepted to CCAC you are strongly encouraged to prepare for
placement testing before scheduling the placement test.
At CCAC classes are taught by faculty members
so students learn from leaders in their fields.

Join us in congratulating!
Brandon Large on his acceptance
into the University of Pittsburgh
“Hi, I wanted to inform you that I was accepted to
University of Pittsburgh. I want to thank you and all
CCAC staff that helped me out with school and
setting up my benefits after I got out the Marine
Corps.
I had one goal when getting out of the service, and
that was to get in to University of Pittsburgh and I
only accomplished this by guidance from the
CCAC Veterans Affairs office and other CCAC
staff.
So again, thank you so much and wish me luck.
