Oprah Winfrey biography
Billionaire Oprah Winfrey is best known for hosting her internationally popular talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show from 1986 to 2011. She grew up poor in Mississippi but found success as a journalist and talk show host in Chicago. By 1988, she became the first woman to own and produce her own talk show. In addition to her talk show career, Oprah is a philanthropist who has established charities focused on education and humanitarian efforts that have raised over $50 million.
