Project Name : Release Management (RM) - Global Replenishment Systems (GRS)
Client : Wal-Mart.

Description:
Global Replenishment Systems (GRS) is a replacement of Inforem (Inventory
Forecasting and Replenishment Module) of Wal-Mart. GRS uses item-specific historical
cleansed sales data and build forecasts results, where the build forecasts results are
more accurate and would meet the expectations of supplier goods.
RM-GRS is part of GRS and is responsible for implementation, maintenance and
management of test and Prod environments. It includes Batch Monitoring (CA7),
Scheduling, Code deployment and providing test-data.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Batch Monitoring- includes monitoring test batch flows in different environments
(Dev, QA, and UAT) in CA7.
• Performing various CA7 operations like RUN, DEMAND, HOLDS, CANCEL,
Force Complete, etc.
• Have setup a JCL to post the invalid looks backs in Batch flows which has
reduced the effort of manual postings and Was Awarded for it.
• Deployment of components (Includes, JCL Headers, Programs, Resources, etc.)
in all test regions.
• Refreshing data from various production databases like DB2, IMS & Teradata to
lower test environments.
• Setting up CICS screens in various environments.
• Scheduling of jobs in CA7 as per developers requirement.
• Coordinating with various teams to fix the environmental, data and code issues.
• Responsible for version control, movement of code and components from
deployment area to integration system and production.
• Have automated many manual process using JCL and REXX and was awarded
consistently for the automation efforts.
