MABALACAT CITY – The Technology
Resource Center (TRC) has hosted a business match-making opportunity between the
“technopreneurs” of University of the Philippines (Diliman) and the locators of the Mabalacat
Techno Center. Dubbed as Technology Business Incubators (TBI)-Techno Center Business
Matching, TRC Director GeneralDennis Cunanan said the event is aimed to open an
avenue of engagement for both business communities to enhance their productivity and
competitiveness.
Cunanan described the aim of the project as two-pronged – for the technocenter locators to
explore innovative approaches that may potentially improve their operations and for the TBI

to locators to better expand their offerings even to tailor-fit innovative solutions to help
locators.
Coinciding with the third anniversary of the Open TBI, the event also featured 11 out of its
15 start-ups, which exhibited their technology solutions before the media and the Mabalacat
business locator community.
The firms include GSMetrix, Solutions Resource, Orchestrinix, Sparkscom Technologies,
Wilkonec Incorporated, BizAlliance, Itemhound, Basecamp Technologies, Version 791
Incorporated, Auberon, Solutions and SerBizyo.
During the session, the locators were engaged in more detailed one-on-one consultations
discussing possible and specific accommodations of their technology solutions to the
client’s actual day-to-day operational needs.
Likened to California’s Silicon Valley, the Open-TBI startups include R&D companies,
Information Technology firms, software developers, online business support services, web
and network design, and other which are engaged in various digital services.
TRC business locators in Mabalacat are composed of product manufacturers and
industrialists who are on the cusp of business expansion and very keen on reducing costs,
increasing productivity and growing their client bases.

He was appointed National President of JCI Philippines in 2005. As National President,
Dennis prioritized a 3-Point Agenda for training, entrepreneurship, and re-integration of the
family in the organization; he hopes to carry a similar focus when he assumes the position
of Junior Chamber International’s Secretary General in on January 1, 2014, after having
been appointed in the 2012 World Congress in Taiwan.
