CERTIFIED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
1. CERTIFIED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
Introduction
With few exceptions, companies today rely on IT for the delivery
of business-critical services, often directly to the end consumer.
IT-Managers are facing the constant pressure to deliver (new)
hi-availability services at an ever increasing faster pace and rate
of change.
GoodITmanagementhastheabilitytoassessthevalueandlevel
of risk associated with operations and large scale projects,
findingwaysofrealisingpotentialandminimisingrisk,andbeing
able to see the business strategy through the eyes of the senior
management team. This in turn helps identify ways in which
technology can support their vision.
Competent managers are key to efficient operation, productivity
and profitability of companies in today’s increasingly challenging
business environment. Learning the art and science of IT
management on the job is no longer adequate to cope with the
complexity and specialisation required for today’s managers.
To enable working engineers and professionals to face these
new challenges, improve their companies’ performance and
advance in their careers, EPI has successfully established the
CITM® program with a focus on the IT business processes and soft
skills essential to improve the competency as a manager. The
Certified InformationTechnology Manager course is a three-day
course which includes overall improvement of productivity and
performance.
