1) The document contains data from an experiment measuring reaction times for 26 students on three tests: GhostBlaster points scored, time on a stopwatch test, and number of hand slaps achieved.
2) Measures of center and spread were calculated for each test, with the GhostBlaster scores showing the largest range and outliers.
3) Based on higher average and median scores on the hand slap test, the conclusion is that boys performed better and are likely faster than girls in this test. However, scores were close on the stopwatch test.
10. Variability
The data for ghostblasters has an interquartile
range from 16 to 28 and most of the data is
clustered between that but has lots of outliers
like -35 -9 2 and 51.
The data for handslaps the guys did better on
getting the most slaps because the girls data
clusters more around1 and 2 but the guys is more
around 2 threw 7.
The data for stopwatch has a very small
interquartile range but it has one really far outlier
of 24.31 making the data close to the maximum
of the data which is 30.44
11. Who's faster conclusion
I think that the boys are faster because in the
data the guys did a lot better then the girls in
handslaps and with a bigger mean and median of
about 2 whole slaps. The overall for the
stopwatch was about even with the guys and
girls having outliers.in my opinion the only
reason that the girls did better then then the
boys is because the girls figured out that if you
tap the ghost more then once then you get more
points right after 3 boys had already gone. The
guys also could have had ghosts that weren't
multiplies of 10. that’s why I think that the buys
are faster then the girls.
