This document analyzes reaction time data from 27 participants in 3 trials: Ghost Blaster, stopwatch, and hand slaps. It finds that in the stopwatch trial, almost all participants had times between 27-29 seconds. Hand slap scores were more variable, ranging from 0-7 slaps. Most Ghost Blaster scores were between 0-29 and 30-59 points. Based on the mean scores, boys performed better than girls on all trials except Ghost Blaster.
10. Variability
The variability in the three trials are mostly consistent.
Especially in the stopwatch. You can tell by the
histogram because almost all the units are in the
interquartile 27-29.
The hand slaps are sort of all over the place. You can
tell because the data sort of goes up in a stair
formation however, there are big numbers like 1 and 2.
The ghost blaster tinker plot shows that most scores
are between 0-29 and 30-59.
11. Who’s faster?
The answer to this question is pretty obvious.
THE BOYS
I would say that the boys are faster because the
boys had better means on all trials except the ghost
blasters. And that isn't really fair.
